Advancements in Neonatal Pharmacology Lecture Pack

Having a strong understanding of pharmacokinetics and how they are impacted by the development of the neonate is a crucial part of providing safe and effective care in the NICU. Particularly for preterm infants, medication use in the NICU is impacted by physiological immaturity and doses must constantly be adjusted to account for increases in weight and maturation of elimination pathways. This package focuses on providing current and evidence based information about pharmacology in the NICU, including a look at new and upcoming therapies. Join us to learn more about medication and breastmilk, advances in enteral nutrition, pharmacotherapy for hemodynamic instability, classic versus new and upcoming therapies for neonatal seizures, toxicities of common NICU medications and advanced post-operative pain management strategies.

Important Note: Please note that this package is available on the GOLD Learning CE website and was previously offered alongside the 2023 GOLD Neonatal Online Conference. If you have previously purchased and viewed this series of lectures, you will not be able to claim another accreditation certificate again.

*Only those registering for the main conference, or have registered for the main conference will have the ability to purchase this lecture pack. You will have the opportunity to purchase this add-on at the time of conference registration, or anytime afterwards (during the time of the conference).

As an international conference, we are sensitive to the fact that not all countries are economically equal. As breastfeeding advocates we recognise that people in these countries generally have the most need for this information and limited resources, which is why in addition to our standard registration options, this year we are offering a special registration fee for residents from countries that fall in Cat.
