Andrea Herron is one of the first and longest continuous certified pediatric nurse practitioners in the United States. After more than 40 years of coaching women determined to breastfeed she is one of the most experienced in the field of lactation. From everyday parents to adoptive mothers, Andrea has guided thousands of mothers to meet their breastfeeding goals through support groups, lactation consultations, and childrearing education. After receiving a Master's in nursing from UCLA, Andrea became an early pioneer in the back-to-breastfeeding movement and educated health professionals as an instructor at UCLA. Her private lactation practice, Growing with Baby in San Luis Obispo, California, is used as the national model for clinics by Women Infant and Children (WIC), the federally funded health and nutrition program.

As a professional journalist, skilled reporter, and producer, Lisa Rizzo has won state-wide respect for writing excellence throughout her career. Formerly a producer for NBC affiliated television station KSBY Channel 6 in San Luis Obispo, California, she produced more than 500 hours of live newscasts including election coverage, roadshows, and Olympic programming. As a reporter for Cal Coast News she wrote and published nearly 70 articles, covering issues ranging from disparities in healthcare, environmental crises, corruption in government to financial fraud. Lisa conducted investigations which ultimately shed light on injustices and abuses of power. Educated at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in California, Lisa has a Bachelors of Science degree in journalism. She is a member of The Society of Professional Journalists and past President of the San Luis Obispo Children's Museum.
