Her practice-changing research on the impact of opioid use has shed important light on this emerging area of neonatal health. Dr. Cleveland leads the Texas Targeted Opioid Response and is developing a screening instrument to identify women at risk for overdosing.
This presentation is brimming with the latest information on Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and will include information about current best practices in caring for opioid-impacted dyads. Dr. Cleveland will share her insights on non-pharmacological comfort measures, medications, and hurdles we often encounter in the NICU.
