Biography:

Jonathan was appointed at Scotland’s first Paediatric Palliative Medicine consultant in 2019, as a joint collaboration between NHS and CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland). The Paediatric and Palliative Care service now offer Scotland's first accredited training centre in Paediatric Palliative Medicine. Through his role as Chair to the RCPCH (Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health) he co-authored the curriculum for Paediatric Palliative Care SPIN (Specialist interest) training within the UK and provides mentorship to trainees. Jonathan represents Specialist Paediatric Palliative Care services within Scotland's first Managed Clinical Network for Paediatric End-of-Life care (PELiCaN) and works closely with Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) to ensure that all children and young people have access to the services and expertise they require throughout their journeys
