Abstract:

In this session, Dr. Hazelbaker takes the participant on a journey to connective tissue land where the fascia and its special properties are discussed. She then presents the ways in which fascia and muscles play their respective roles in suck-swallow-breathe coordination. She discusses how problems associated with fascial restrictions can impair proper function of the tissues in the head and neck area, thereby negatively impacting suck-swallow-breathe.
